2007 was the first year for the FGDC and consequently only had one division of competition.  Max Berger, Chris Loftin, Ollie Mckeag and Jason Sylvester of Foothill High School in Henderson, NV. called themselves Jet Engine Productions took home the title.  Their creation was entitled Chimera: Numerical Bliss and was a math based educational experience teaching geometry and algebra.  The competition saw such a large number of entrants in its initial year that the 2008 version was comprised of several divisions.
